Retired Residents

My beautiful and intelligent residents who are retired for any reason are usually found retirement homes - that is, homes where they will be allowed to be rats and to enjoy themselves as ratties should. I take a considerable amount of time matching retiree to home, and I pride myself on making a match that fits. If no match is found, they stay with me. Sometimes I'm far too attached to a rat to rehome them ever, and they stay with me anyway. I just figure -- why not let them enjoy themselves with some kid who will adore them? All of my retirees are homed on a pet only contact and at times will be altered before being sent to their new homes. I retain first right of refusal should the new home ever need to rehome them - I don't want to see my girls/boys get lost out there.

Standard Ear, Standard Coat, Dwarf (5 inches)

Dumbo-Eared, Rex Dwarf (4.5 inches)
Pink Eyed White

Black Self
Half-Pint became one of the cuddliest girls I've ever met. As she's aged, she's settled down considerably, and now loves to beg for just about anything edible. She is now retired and lives with a little girl in the Wright family!

Pinch is far and away my favorite. She reminds me a lot of my Goober, a standard black doe I had a few years ago. The absolute best mama! She is now retired, living with Pint with a little girl from the Wright family!

Susie's outook on life is very, very optimistic. EVERYONE is her friend and she's happy to prove that to you, if you let her. She also has to be the first one out of the cage. Rainbow bridge, Aug. 2010

Scrunci's main motivation in everything she does is food. If food isn't involved, she probably isn't interested. But she's still very sweet - and very beautiful!

Saffron plays a little too hard for her own good, and often irritates her cagemates. Overall, though; I think they understand that it's just... her. Adopted by the Turner family.
